Below is the homemade wind Turbine made of  Ametek 38 (These are new surplus Ametek 38 volt motors.  Great for making low power turbines in the 100 watt range.  They start charging 12 volt at around 330 rpm and work well with blades of 4ft diameter or less. Maximum rating of 12 amps.  They work great for other projects as well!

It has a 5/8 inch shaft, measures 4″ diameter x 4.5″ long.  Has 4 tapped 10-32 mounting holes in the front plate.

There are 3 wires from the motor, the brown wire isn’t used, the black and white are the DC output wires. The positive lead would be determined by its rotation.)
